THE TYPES OF PROJECTS WE SUPPORT
PROJECTS
Poppins Children's Community Project CIC will help local good causes that focus on supporting children and families. We do not provide cash donations, but we supply essential goods, equipment and supplies.​

Examples include:​
Essential equipment for holiday clubs
Youth clubs activity supplies
Equipment or kits for children's sports teams
Breakfast clubs
Equipment or non-statutory services for nurseries or schools e.g. forest schools, library books
Equipment for Brownie, Guide or Scout Groups e.g. camping equipment, badges
Counselling and support services for children and families
Activities and supplies for children's hospices
Activities to support children's mental healthServices or equipment to support children's health issues such as cancer
Emergency supplies for children in immediate need
Please note, the projects we support must meet the following criteria:

they must be based in Somerset, or have a group/club based in Somerset.

they must be for the advantage of children (under 18 years)

they must not be for an individual, unless referred by another organisation

they must not be from a Community Interest Company limited by shares

they must not be a profit making organisation
Once submitted, applications are then put forward to our assessors. Applications tend to be judged on the urgency and need, the amount of difference it can make to the children, and occassionally on the number of children affected. We raise our funds through our second hand shop, and sometimes we must refuse an application due to lack of funds available. We keep applications for 3 months, and, if funds become available in that time, we will contact you and ask if the funding is still required. To get started, simply pick up an application form in store or send us an email requesting a form. We can then email you back with an application form.
